Online Course in Web Programming

My Background

I have more than 25 years of experience in programming for the web (JavaScript, HTML & CSS). And 3 years of experience in teaching Web Programming.

My strength is to make the complex things simple, so that you will be able to turn theory into practice.

In the IT world a lot of buzz-words and fancy terms are used, and they can seem very abstract and very confusing. I do my best to get everything down to earth, so everybody can make sense of it.

In my previous employments I have taught internal colleagues JavaScript, HTML & CSS. For example, I have taught Web Programming to internal colleagues at Jyske Bank (Denmark) and Valtech (Denmark), and last but not least at Systematic (Denmark), where 70% of the employees have a university degree.

Course Form & How

The course will be online via Google Meet.

You will get “dirt under your nails”, meaning you will have practical exercises where you actually code the concepts in a realistic case in the form of a web app. This web app will be continued throughout the training, meaning we/you will keep building on it during the course. At the end of the course, you will receive the complete code so you can compare your application code with mine.

What you will learn

A fundamental understanding of how the Web works, and basic knowledge of the core JavaScript language itself. No libraries are used. You will know the importance of using clean and normalized (X)HTML, and how to seamlessly change the look and feel of your webpage by applying Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
